Punky is a great girl and has given us some of the cutest lambs we’ve ever had at Black Sparrow Ranch. Look at Parsnip under our lamb section to see one of her twins from this year. She had an easy delivery and was a very good mother, almost too good. She dropped weight fast allowing her babies to nurse as often and as long as they wanted causing her to lose body condition. We have been working to get her back up to a healthy weight. Her first year of lambing, before we purchased her, she had triplets! Her only other negative is that she is a little on the tall side but her babies were averge or even below average in height since she was bred with a very small ram. If we did not have so many black ewes, we likely would not be selling her, but we did retain one of her triplets from last year so we decided to offer her to another farm.

There is the possibility of selling her bred to a spotted or white babydoll ram for Spring 2026 lambs. This option is only available to experienced shepherds.

We will only sell her to a loving home and only alongside at least one other ewe as to ensure their happiness and an easy transition.
