Three Babydoll Ewes - $1800 FIRM

At this time, we are not interested in separating. You can let us know if you are interested in only certain girls, but we have a strong preference that these girls all go together. Form to reserve is at the end of this page.

Please forgive the photos. They were taken on a very hot day after most of the girls had gotten dirty.

This flock will include the following:

Erin - 5 Years Old, Off-White, BSSBA Registered, Was Quadruple Registered, Codon RR

We're partial to Erin because we think she is one of the prettiest girls in the barnyard and passes those same traits onto her lambs. She's an excellent mom, doesn't lose body condition, and doesn't have issues lambing. She's not super friendly, but is easy enough to work and can be caught at the feed trough without any trouble. She can always be counted on to give healthy strong lambs.

Piper - 7 Years Old, Off-White, BSSBA Registered, Was Quadruple Registered, Codon RR

Piper, Erin, and Rowan came to us from a farm in Oklahoma which is why we believe it's important to keep the three of them together. We love Piper's short stubby nose. Two years in a row that we have had her she's given us the absolute cutest off-white lambs we have ever seen. Like Erin, she is not overly friendly, but she gets much moreso when pregnant or after giving birth.

Rowan - 6 Years Old, Black, BSSBA Registered, Was Quadruple Registered, Codon RR

Our big beautiful girl! The teddy bear faces don't come much cuter than Rowan. The year before we got her, she had triplet girls! Unfortunately for us, we let her get very fat keeping her in with the nursing ewes and she took advantage. Now she is overweight and we think that's the reason why she didn't take this past year and give us any lambs. We also used a 6 month sire so it's possible he just couldn't reach. Regardless, she does need to lose some weight to get more comfy but we have no reason to believe her mothering days are over. She likes scritches on the neck and back.

Our sweet girl 2 Chainz is an amazing mother, and has given us so many beautiful lambs that we had people requesting them even before they were born. Unfortunately, within the past couple of years she has developed a cud-spilling issue. She does not do it all the time, as evidenced by the photos below, but it does happen. Since we are unable to know whether this is a possibly genetic issue, and she is entering retirement age anyway, we are offering her as a pet only. We do not want her to breed. We're more than happy to let her live out her remaining days here on Black Sparrow Ranch but if she was wanted for fiber or as a companion animal, she would be no additional charge to a flock.

The form to reserve is here. We will be picky about the home they go to. These girls have given us stunning lambs and are more like pets than livestock.
